Creation of an encrypted backup of our clients` vaults is a mandatory step as part of our security policies in order to protect our customers from unexpected inability to access their vaults. Once the backup is created, vault owners must approve or reject it, to ensure further protection mechanisms are in place to secure your vaults. 

Vaultody Recovery Tool, our own user-friendly, open-source tool will assist you with the generation of a strong RSA key pair (optional recommended step) or for viewing your own key pair. Our tool will also help completing all other relevant steps - from fully completing vaults` backup to prompting to store the backup file securely locally on a device to which only YOU have access (serving as a proof of ownership). 

For recovering your vaults, our tool will request the provision of essential data to initiate the recovery process. Upon matching the system records with clients` provided data, clients will regain ownership of their master extended private key (xPriv) and will have access to their vault(s) again.
